Get Free Foreclosure Prevention Counseling and Avoid Foreclosure
NeighborWorks Umpqua provides free Foreclosure Prevention counseling to help you avoid foreclosure.

Work with a Foreclosure Prevention counselor and know what options are available to you to avoid foreclosure.
Most homeowners don’t have any problems with their mortgage servicer until they start missing payments. Then it can be a very stressful and frustrating process to get through.
Through counseling a homeowner can find out what type of assistance their financial situation is most suited for. They learn which programs they may be eligible for and develop a spending plan that’s tailored to their needs. Our goal is to help you avoid foreclosure.
NeighborWorks Umpqua is HUD approved and all counselors have received certification in Foreclosure Prevention and Default Counseling.

Attend a Foreclosure Prevention Information Session
NeighborWorks Umpqua hosts bi-monthly Foreclosure Prevention Information Sessions for families who are dealing with default. If you live in Douglas, Coos or Curry County, do not have an auction date, and need help, attend an information session. This session will highlight possible options and resources, clarify Oregon's foreclosure timeline and prepare you for counseling.
If you have an auction date, contact our office immediately.
Information sessions are free of charge and will provide very detailed information about the foreclosure process. They will be held in the community room at Sunset Court Apartments, 1800 NE Sunset Lane in Roseburg every first Thursday of the month from 1:00-2:30 and every third Thursday at 5:30 pm., except in July which will be rescheduled.

Assistance should be free, or very low cost. If anyone asks you to pay for their service, stop!! There are many scams out there that can be misleading not the real thing.
