Current Multi-Family Development Projects
Current Multi-Family Projects
Umpqua Community Development Corporation has three multi-family developments in the pipeline or under construction.
Neu Place is scheduled for completion in July and will consist of 11 new units to serve the developmentally disabled. Representing the first complex in Douglas County designed to serve this special needs population, Neu Place will offer resident services through the WISH foundation, a private non-profit.
Brookside Court Apartments, a 25-year-old low income senior complex, will undergo over $7 million of rehabilitation. The 50 units will highlight green residential construction through significant increases in energy efficiency and the addition of solar panels. Three units will be handicapped accessible. Rehab is scheduled for completion in spring 2012.
Eagle Landing will develop 54 units of multi-family construction for homeless veterans. This unique partnership of Umpqua CDC, the Veterans Administration and UCAN will be a prime example of green construction. This project will be the first LEEDS project in Douglas County with funding announcements scheduled for July, 2011.
