Dream$avers Youth IDA
Saving for a college education or career training is one of the best investments you can make in your future. NeighborWorks Umpqua has a Dream$avers program just for students age 12+ enrolled in Oregon schools or GED programs.
Thanks to a grant from the Ford Family Foundation, we are able to provide Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) or matched savings accounts to qualifying students who are saving to go to college or trade school. If students meet Dream$avers requirements and can save up to $3000 for college or trade school, NeighborWorks Umpqua can match those savings 3:1.
$3,000 of YOUR savings
+ $9,000 Dream$avers Youth IDA match
= $12,000 to pay for your education, debt free!
Funds never have to be repaid. A Dream$avers Youth IDA Specialist will help you create an Education/Career Plan and complete a Financial Education workshop to help you prepare for your future. There is no cost for participation in Dream$avers Youth IDA!
To qualify, applicant households must be within the income and net worth limits for the Dream$avers Program.
Dream$avers Program Funding
The Individual Development Account (IDA) Initiative is supported by funding from the Oregon IDA Tax Credit. The Oregon IDA Tax Credit allows you to support participants like ours and get back a 75% credit on your State tax return.
