For low-to-moderate income first-time homebuyers in Douglas, Coos, Curry, Klamath, and Lake Counties NeighborWorks Umpqua has Down Payment Assistance loans available. During these uncertain times, the stability of homeownership is more important than ever. At the same time, having a healthy emergency savings account to buffer against unexpected events is critical. Down Payment Assistance loans can help ease the financial risk of buying a home, allowing buyers to retain more of their savings for emergencies.

NWU’s Down Payment Assistance Loan program is designed to support resiliency and sustainable homeownership.  Borrowers attend a Homebuyer Education course and a one-on-one Homebuyer Counseling session through NWU. Loan amounts range from $5,000 to $10,000; and up to $15,000 for veterans.
